Effectively collecting your B2B receivables
The Incasso department of BG.legal has extensive experience in effective collection. This means taking firm action with a straight back. We always keep your relationship with the customer in mind and collect in a manner that fits your customer approach. We provide customization for you. Experience shows that a debtor is more likely to pay when a collection lawyer is involved than a bailiff or collection agency.
Clear conditions: "no win, no fee" for B2B receivables
When we collect your undisputed receivable from your business debtor, you do not owe any subscription fees, administrative fees, or case costs if the receivable exceeds €1,000. For receivables under €1,000 [principal amount including VAT], you will pay a base fee of €65. If we collect nothing, you owe us no fees other than the base costs: our fees will be charged to your debtor.
N.B. We do not handle collections on private debtors.
For our detailed no-win-no-fee conditions, see the costs for a collection procedure and collection conditions.
Online collection: 24/7 access to your files
Through our collection portal, you have 24/7 access to your files. Here you can submit new files, view the status of your files, leave your responses, ask questions, or report payments. When you submit a new file, we often send the first reminder letter on the same day. To access your file(s), you can log in with your own username and password.

Why isn’t your debtor paying?
In the amicable collection process, we want to find out as quickly as possible whether your debtor cannot or does not want to pay, and if they do not want to pay, why not? These are questions we find answers to by contacting your debtor. Often, debtors do not respond on their own to written demands. Therefore, we always call your debtor after we have sent a written demand. Due to our experience, we often quickly uncover the "why" and can approach your debtor correctly to get your claim paid as soon as possible.
Rental claims
One of our specializations is collecting your rental claims. With our experience and proactive approach to the tenant, we achieve the best results. The goal is to collect the claim and prevent future arrears. When it becomes clear that obligations are not being met, and termination is the only option, we will quickly initiate a judicial termination procedure for you.
Judicial collection
When no payment follows in the amicable phase, you have the option to start a judicial collection procedure or close the file. When we have determined that there are few recovery options [unable to pay], we will advise you to close the file. You do not owe us any fees in this case. If there is a willingness not to pay, we will start the judicial procedure with your approval.
The costs of third parties for following a judicial procedure must be paid to us in advance. We have no financial interest in this. Of course, a request will be made in the procedure for a cost order so that your debtor will be ordered to pay these costs.
International collection
To effectively collect a claim abroad, BG.legal has sought collaboration with foreign lawyers. In practice, it has proven most effective when a local lawyer, who speaks the language and knows all collection options well, collects the receivable. Through these offices, we have a local lawyer in various countries. Where we do not yet have an affiliated office with which we collaborate, we often have other means to collect a receivable. We can coordinate the collection through these offices for you, but you can also keep direct contact with this foreign collection lawyer.
Our specialists can assist you with the following topics:
- Advising on setting up effective debt management;
 - Sending a final payment reminder;
 - Starting a collection procedure (letter + telephone contact);
 - Starting a judicial collection procedure;
 - Requesting the bankruptcy of your debtor.
