Information we may process

The Website is aimed at adults; BG.legal does not knowingly process information from children under 16 years of age.

An example of information we obtain indirectly is information obtained through our internet access logs. When you visit the Website, your internet address is automatically processed through our internet access logs.

Sensitive personal data

Security and retention period

In general, BG.legal does not retain personal data obtained via the Website longer than necessary for the purposes for which they were collected, or as required by law.

Your rights

If BG.legal processes personal data about you, you have certain rights as a data subject:

• Right to information: You have the right to receive information about how and why BG.legal processes your personal data.
• Right to access: You have the right to access and obtain a copy of the personal data that BG.legal processes about you.
• Right to rectification: You have the right to rectify and/or supplement personal data concerning you if the data is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Right to restrict processing: You have the right to request BG.legal to temporarily restrict the processing of your personal data if one of the following situations occurs:
  • you dispute the accuracy of the personal data concerning you. The processing will be restricted for the period necessary for BG.legal to verify the accuracy of your personal data;
  • the processing of your personal data is unlawful and you oppose the deletion of your personal data and instead request the restriction of the processing of your personal data;
  • BG.legal no longer needs the personal data for processing purposes, but you need it for the establishment, exercise, and substantiation of a legal claim.
  • you have objected to the processing and are awaiting a response regarding whether the legitimate grounds of BG.legal outweigh your interests.
• Right to data portability: you have the right to obtain your personal data processed by BG.legal in a structured, commonly used (digital) format so that you can transfer it smoothly to another data controller.
• Right to object: you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if the processing is based on the 'protection of the legitimate interests of BG.legal'. BG.legal will cease processing personal data if it cannot provide legitimate grounds for the processing that outweigh your interests, rights, and freedoms.
• Right to erasure: You have the right to request BG.legal to delete your personal data. BG.legal will grant this request if one of the following situations arises:
  • your personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed;
  • you have withdrawn your consent for the processing of your personal data and there is no other legal basis for the processing;
  • you have validly objected to the processing of your personal data;
  • your personal data has been processed unlawfully.

If you have given consent for the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time. All processing of personal data that occurred prior to the withdrawal of consent is deemed to have occurred lawfully.

You can submit your request to exercise the above rights or powers in writing to BG.legal using the contact details at the bottom of this privacy statement. BG.legal will process your request within one month. If the request is complex or involves a large number of requests, BG.legal may choose to extend this period by two months.
