Bogaerts & Groenen Cultural Fund
Bogaerts & Groenen has a special interest in art, in the broadest sense of the word. When Jules Groenen left Bogaerts & Groenen in 2006, our company also set up the Jules Groenen Prize. This prize is awarded annually to the academy student who has created a special, striking graduation project.
In 2011, the Bogaerts & Groenen Cultural Fund replaced the Jules Groenen prize. The Bogaerts & Groenen Cultural Fund allows us to stimulate a broader presentation of the arts. The fund is intended to stimulate young talent and give them the opportunity to make the step from education to the professional field of work.
This first year, we chose for the performing arts. For this reason, the Bogaerts & Groenen Cultural Fund 2011 was made available to the foundation Stichting MusicallFoundation SMF, on the occasion of the Musical Festival Tilburg.

SPORTS
Sponsoring swimmer Linsy Heister
The Dutch swimming talent Linsy Heister has the ambition to win the gold medal for the 10 km open water marathon at the Olympic Summer Games 2012 in London.
We have confidence in this talent and are happy to be able to support her.
Sponsoring Alpe d’HuZes
Alpe d'HuZes is the cycling event whereby participants climb the Alpe d'Huez, individually or as a part of a team, six times in one day. Not just for themselves, but to raise money for the Alpe d'HuZes Research Fund of KWF Kankerbestrijding (the Dutch Fund for the fight against cancer). In 2011, Kim Albert, one of our colleagues, was one of the participants who jointly raised the fantastic final sum of money of 20.1 million Euros. The foundation Stichting Alpe d'HuZes has a strict anti-rake-off policy: all donations are 100% dedicated to research. Over the past years, this money has been used for the research and rehabilitation programme A-CaRe, thanks to which cancer patients can recover more quickly and in a better way. An important and unique research that should allow all cancer patients to be able to follow this rehabilitation programme. In June of 2012 Kim will participate for the second time and, of course, we will contribute to this good cause in 2012 as well.
