Organizations working with AI systems or data projects are facing a rapidly growing set of European regulations: the AI Act, the Data Act, the GDPR, NIS2, and more. The question is no longer whether these rules apply to you, but to what extent and what you specifically need to do to be compliant.
BG.legal helps organizations that want to gain control over the legal aspects of their AI and data initiatives. And parties that want to retain control over their data. We do this through a layered approach: from a quick initial exploration to a thorough tailored compliance process. Every organization can engage at the level that suits its situation and needs.
All services are available in Dutch and English.
Do you want to know if regulations such as the AI Act, the Data Act, GDPR, or NIS2 are relevant to your project? The quickscan provides a quick and cost-free first, broad impression. Through an online questionnaire, filled out independently, a preliminary analysis will be made of which EU regulations might apply and what the initial points of attention are.
The result is a report with an overview of applicable regulations, any red flags, and a recommendation for the next step.

The assessment is available as a self-assessment or as a guided process in which an IT lawyer from BG.legal actively participates. It results in a report per relevant law with an analysis of applicability, your organization's role, identified red flags, and concrete recommendations, supplemented by an online discussion of the findings.
Which assessments do we offer:
Cost: to be paid in advance; self-assessment €1,500 – €2,500, guided assessment €2,500 – €5,000. All prices are excluding VAT.

The compliance assessment is the most in-depth process and comparable to an audit based on an ISO standard. Here, it is specifically checked whether your organization or AI system meets the requirements of a specific law such as the AI Act or the Data Act. We do this based on a
This is a customized process that begins with an intake interview. In this discussion, we will talk about what this process looks like, what it will deliver for you, and what the costs will be. Based on this, we will prepare a quote and guide you step by step through the compliance process.
The process results in a detailed compliance report, with an assessment (complied / partially complied / not complied), concrete action points, and any subsequent advice. Depending on the outcome, the process may lead to a roadmap to compliance or, with demonstrable compliance, a statement ('seal of approval') issued by BG.legal as a law firm.
Cost: customized quote; indicative €5,000 – €20,000 for guided assessment. All prices are excluding VAT.
