Jos van der Wijst is a partner at BG.legal and a specialist in intellectual property law (IP), IT law and artificial intelligence (AI). From the offices in Eindhoven and Den Bosch, he supports innovative companies in the technology sector and clients of these companies.
He focuses on the protection and commercial exploitation of knowledge and technology, the legal aspects of data and AI and the enforcement of IP rights such as patents. Jos advises startups, scale-ups and established companies on IP contracts, investments, acquisitions and conducts IP due diligence for investors.
He is active within the NEN Standardization Committee for Artificial Intelligence & Big Data and the AI Coalition for the Netherlands. He also conducts AI Act compliance assessments. Jos works from the Eindhoven office on the Brainport Industries Campus.
